Season's Greetings,

At my house, Christmas is a big deal! My wife is normally a high energy person, but for the month of December, she is a VERY high energy person. The season just makes her very, very happy. This sends a different energy into the environment. Everything is heightened!

Of course, dogs pick up on the excitement and joy. Living in the moment is the best gift you can give to your dog. Share this wonderful positive energy, but don't forget to be the pack leader. You should still enforce those rules, boundaries, and limitations.

If you'd like to give your dog something more this holiday season, spend time doing what he likes to do: visit a nearby lake, go for a long walk in the park, or any other activity enjoying Mother Nature. This will be especially meaningful if you don't do it on a regular basis.
