Keyo the Poodle was the last dog to enter Kitty Aert’s pack of five dogs in Belgium.  Being the newest (and youngest) member of this pack was an easy transition for Keyo, however, and everyone quickly accepted him.  “They play, walk and swim together like they have always been together,” said Kitty.  Even the oldest (and biggest) member, Cas the Great Dane, embraced Keyo with open arms—or in the case of the below picture…an open head! Bachera is a dog of many chances. This Dogo Argentino/Bullterrier mix was first found wandering the tramlines in The Hague, Netherlands. She was plucked from the streets and put in a nearby shelter, where after a year, she was finally adopted. Unfortunately, that family returned Bachera after a short time owning her, and it was another year before Janine van Emden and her family finally gave her a forever home. Read more

Fergus, a four-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, entered Scott Richmond’s life as a puppy. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Fergus has come to love the snow—and can’t resist a nose-dive! While Fergus was growing up, his hyperactivity was a problem at times, until Scott applied some of Cesar’s tips and advice on raising a balanced pup. Read more

Xziva—more formerly known as Catania Vom House Wagner—is Lily Mol’s one-year-old blue Great Dane. A bit of a handful at first, Xziva has now become an obedient, well trained dog that loves to pose for a picture. Xziva and Lily have participated in a photo project on Flickr—52 Weeks for Dogs—where every week a new photo is submitted to the site. This candid shot in the woods of the Netherlands was taken on week 33. Read more

Donna Segelken’s husband had lost his German Shepherd dog a year before they got Buster, their nine and a half year-old American Staffordshire/Bassett Hound/Chow mix. On that day, he finally decided he was ready to start the search for another dog. They were at a local flea market when they noticed five pups hanging over the tailgate of a pick-up truck. A sign on the truck said “Free to a good home,” so Donna decided to be that good home. Read more
