We received the following note recently:

An adoptive family was ready to send one of our dogs, Boomer, back to the pound. We offered free training and obedience for Boomer and his family, and by the end they were so elated that they adopted Boomer a new playmate. Both Boomer and his family were trained using Cesar's DVDs, as we have his collection and use them for all new adoptees. We retrain the families on how to become the pack leader from the moment the dog enters his or her new home.

All of the volunteers who train the dogs before and after adoption use Cesar's techniques, and we ask the families to view the DVDs at our building while we are working with the dogs. Currently, I'm working with 2 new families and their new dogs using Cesar's DVDs. They just received their free DVD copy of "People Training for Dogs" and they are thrilled. They now can relate what I have been teaching them. They are working with the dogs for one hour a day and are now looking to adopt other companion dogs. Thanks to Cesar's teaching and the free DVD that the Millan Foundation offers, they are encouraged and feel they can do the training on their own. We will continue to meet with them throughout their new adoptions and work with them as needed.

Asked how Boomer was progressing, Theresa wrote back to us with her reply saying, “Boomer has blossomed. He has learned to sit off-leash and stay on command and the family is thrilled. He is calm and obedient (no more jumping!) and a wonderful member of the family.”
