Greetings,
This holiday season, many people received a gift certificate to adopt a new dog or puppy from their local rescue group or shelter. If you are one of these people, I encourage you to really take your time with this decision. You're going to be together for a long time, so it is important that you find a dog with which you are compatible.
I am proud to say that the staff at Cesar's Way magazine has put together a special edition - Cesar Millan's Your New Puppy - in order to help people who are adding a new family member in the New Year! We hope that it will help people to make the right choices now in order to prevent problems in the future.

How to Train the Perfect Dog
The training you do in the first months of a puppy's life is all important for a successful relationship in the years to come. Cesar shows you how to be a pack leader from the start. He says: Puppies are hard-wired for a structured life. From the time they are born, they seek out boundaries and want to learn what they are supposed to do and what they are not supposed to do.
But how do you do that?
Find out in this excerpt from the magazine.
Keep Your Dog Healthy
The good news is that there are fewer sick puppies today. And with good nutrition, a thorough vaccination program, regular vet check-ups, and good health checks and maintenance at home, you can prevent many of the problems that once plagued puppies and grown dogs.

Get into SHAPE with the
Cesar and Ilusion Millan Foundation!
Cesar is proud to announce the SHelter Animal Physical Enrichment program (SHAPE) for shelters and rescue organizations. SHAPE will provide training aids, DVDs, and one-on-one guidance for organization staff members and volunteers to train them in Cesar's calm, balanced leadership approaches. The program's aim is to create a more balanced and peaceful shelter environment, which alleviates much of the fear and anxiety for displaced animals and better enables them to be properly matched with their forever home.
