Happy 2008!
The year 2007 brought me so many unexpected blessings. I was honored with a visit to the White House and another Emmy nomination. I visited Italy and saw how humans interact with dogs in a different part of the world. My new book Be the pack leader was well-received. And the Millan foundation is really beginning to make a difference for shelters and rescues groups.
Last year I mentioned that I wanted to meet some of the public figures who have influenced my life, and I was lucky enough to do just that! I got to talk dogs with Deepak Chopra on his radio show, I attended a seminar with Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, and meeting Anthony Robbins was definitely one of this year's highlights for me. I felt honored that he called and invited me to his seminar. Beforehand, I was so excited, and my kids kept asking, "why are you acting like this?" He has been so influential in my life--and this was the first time I got to meet him. Turns out he needs help with his dog! So it will be nice to give back to someone who has given me so much.
As part of my New Year's celebration, I plan to sit down with my family and think about my goals for 2008. I also want to set aside some time to simply be grateful for all the love and support we have received. Thank you for the kind wishes you have sent throughout the year. Without you, none of this would be possible. On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to wish you and your pack a Happy Holiday Season.
Stay calm and assertive, and have a happy New Year!
Cesar Millan
