It was fate that brought Sid to the pack! While at the Oklahoma seminar sponsored by the French Bulldog Club of America Rescue League, Cesar voiced his desire for a fawn French Bulldog. It just so happened Juanita Imperiale of Michigan had a show-stopper that she just didn’t have enough time for!
Two-year-old Sid is a show-quality dog, but he was a bit active in the ring. Juanita adored the little guy and would have loved to work with him if he had been her only dog, but she had 21 dogs to care for and a few humans on top of that! She just didn’t have enough time to devote to Sid and felt it wasn’t fair to him. She was sure healthy, athletic Sid would have a better life at the Dog Psychology Center with Cesar.
“As breeders, we take our responsibility for the French Bulldogs Breed very seriously. We go to great lengths to strive for health and longevity in our breeding program. We place our dogs VERY carefully. Not everyone should own a French Bulldog,” Juanita says. “Not all French bulldogs could keep up with Cesar's lifestyle and the climate he resides in.”
Before giving him up, she made Cesar promise that he would never give Sid up and that, if for some reason he had to, he would return Sid to her.
So Juanita had him neutered, and the production team arranged to pick him up in Ohio and take him on their road trip to Philadelphia for the next shoot. The crew fell in love with quirky, active Sid! His show training skills made for fun party tricks, and he took well to the pack, instantly bonding with Chihuahua Coco and Chinese-Crested Louis with whom he likes to play chase. Another endearing trait: he snores when he sleeps!

Love Sid
I decided to get a french bulldog after I saw one in a movie. Having been scared of dogs most of my life this changed when we got our bitsa from the SPCA -she was all the breeds people dont want here eg pit bull and english bull terrier but Joss was so gentle I couldnt help but love her. We got our first frenchie Regis because we wanted a dog to fit with us and Joss- boy did we learn fast that frenchies are actually big dogs in small bodies. They think they are great danes and watching Sid on the show I can see it in him - up the front wanting to know whats going on and absolute mischief. We have 3 frenchies now and Joss is mum to them all. Regis always heads to the tv and stands there looking at Sid whenever hes on.
Sid The Star!!
Cesar's pack is just great with so many fab dogs, but the true star is the might SID!!! Lovely little fella!!
Gorgeous Sid
Hi all
I was very lucky that Santa for Xmas brought me my first laptop and the first thing I wanted to do was to send my favourite pack member a message.
I absolutely adore little Sid. He's always at the front of the queue when new dogs arrive at the centre and obviously loves attention and having a a game of ball.
Why do I love him so much? His cute little face, big ears, chunky cuddly body certainly help but mostly I think it is due to the fact that whilst you can see that he tries to be a good pack member, I reckon he has his "naughty moments" and can be a very cheeky chap!
If ever Sid needs someone to look after him for a while, just let me know as I would love the job!
So Cesar, could you give Sid a big hug from me and tell him that i'm looking forward to seeing him in the new series.
