English bulldogs often exhibit "bullying" behavior. It is important to discourage this at an early age. However, you can harness this trait and use it to your advantage. Consider enrolling your puppy in Guard Dog School. That way, you will have more control over the behavior, but also receive a great benefit from it!
Interesting Fact: Mr. President was named by Crystal, a member of the production office's staff. When she heard an English bulldog was joining the puppy pack, she was ecstatic, because the breed is her favorite. She was able to be there when the puppy was picked up from the breeder and named the puppy General George Washington, or Mr. President for short. Sometimes she is even able to take the puppy home on the weekends to get a feel for what it is like to care for a little bulldog full-time!
Maybe you can write some guidelines for picking out a proper school. Many people that call themselves trainers esp of "guard dog training" are very mean & their "methods" should never be used.
Thanks!

Thousands of dogs n cats die everyday, simply because there are not enough homes....please spay n neuter!!
i have and english bulldog puppy and i cannot tell u how much joy that little munchkin has brought to my life!!!!! he has made a wonderful addition to our pack. we live in south eastern ky. and most people that have pets here either a)would kill for them or b)fight them and abuse them. i also have a rottweiler, 2 pitt bulls and a schnouser, daschund mix.plus my rotti just had 13 puppies but lost all but 2.I plan on having her spayed as soon as possible. this was the first time she was in heat and a neighborhood dog got to her before we knew it. i want to start a rescue and am currently working on funding and learning all i can and i watch ceasar religously and have learned alot. i hope to mainly work with bulldogs.(all types) thanks for being such a great leader!!!
Mr President is one of my favorite of the pack becasuse he always seems to be the bossy one, he's adorable and he, in a way, acts like a president, the name suites him very well.
As a longtime bully owner it did not surprise me that peanut butter would change Mr. President's behavior forever! He looks so much like my 'Dooley' who we lost due to an infection from his gums that attacked his heart valve. People can have their valves replaced but pups can't. I strongly urge Pet Parents to take care of their animals teeth and gums. Such heartbreaking loses can be prevented.
Have fun with Mr. P. He is a handsome young fella!
I HAVE 3YR OLD THAT A REAL PILL. I NOTICED HIM GETTING A AGGESTIVE. HE GETS EXERCISED AND I USE THE TREADMILL BUT NOW HE GETS ON AND WILL WALK BUT HE STOPS AND SITS AND HE FLYS OFF. I USED A LEASH AND SITS AND STOPS AND CHOKES HIM SELF. YES I USE TREATS TO GET HIM GOING BUT NO WAY.AND THEN YESTERDAY HE FOUND SOMETHING AND MY HUSBAND TRIED TO TAKE IT AWAY AND HE BIT HIM.HE NEVER DID IT TO ME. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.I NEVER GIVE UP . I OWED ALASKAN MALMUTE AND I THOUGHT THEY WERE STUBBORN. THIS TOPS IT.WINTER I USE THE TREADMILL SO HELP ME, AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO BITE.
I am a bulldog owner and would like to adopt Mr. President when he comes up for adoption. Any other bulldog you have that are ready for adoption will also be acceptable. Thank you.
Mr. President was successfully adopted by an employee of Cesar's, and is doing very well in his new home. None of Cesar's other dogs are adoptable at this time, but you should check your local shelters and rescues if you are looking for a new Bulldog to adopt. You can also check Petfinder (http://www.petfinder.com) or Pets911 (http://www.pets911.com) to locate adoptable dogs in your area.
I have been looking at info about english bulldogs for years i know a lot about them. I have all ways wanted a bulldog even when i was little. I am planing to save up for a puppy. I am a stay at home mom so there is not alot of money, for the health problems that come with a bulldog ( which i am willing to keep his eyes clean and the folds of skin) I have had a rotti before and trained him myself he passed away last year at a ripe age of 14. I just want to know is a bulldog a good dog to have?
thanks
