Adorable Guilty Dog Tries To Apologize To Her Owner

The biggest difference between cats and dogs is you can always tell when a dog did you wrong. Whether they ate something they weren’t supposed to, had an accident on the carpet, or destroyed something valuable, you’ll always be able to tell. Cats, on the other hand, think they’ve got their poker faces nailed down. Cats are the type of pet that will literally set your house on fire then look you straight in the eye and lie to you that it was the dog. Dogs, not so much as they’re so easy to read.

Perhaps that is why people love having dogs as pets, they’re so loyal and always wanting to please their owners. And if they displease their owners, they will go above and beyond to re-ingratiate themselves.

And one video showed just how much a dog wanted to be forgiven by her owner after being a bad girl. It’s cute, but at the same time, you just want to give the dog a hug and tell her she’s forgiven. Her face is just too cute to be mad at for long, it’s almost impossible to imagine scolding her.

Ettore is the Labrador in the video who is clearly so riddled with guilt that all she wants to do is to be forgiven by her owner, Anthony Federica Granai. She is clearly working hard for that forgiveness so she and Granai can be friends again.

The owner is clearly giving her the guilt trip and he scolds Ettore for something that she did wrong. The adorable little Lab looks so ashamed of her actions she keeps burrowing her face into her owner’s chest.

As the Lab climbed into Granai’s lap, he can be heard asking the dog, “Are you asking me to forgive you? I don’t understand.”

Clearly, yes because the dog doesn’t make much eye contact, but continues to nuzzle Granai’s chest.

Garanai didn’t seem to be ready to let it go, because he said, “You are wrong, Ettore. Ettore, you are wrong. No. Do you understand where you made the mistake? Do you understand?”

This only prompted Ettore to feel even more guilty. Oh, the lengths that dogs will go to chastise themselves after doing us wrong.

Garanai doesn’t seem to be the easily forgiving type, but we hope he eventually forgave Ettore because just look at that face! How could you hold a grudge against that face? Maybe next time Garanai will get a cat – they definitely won’t care if he’s mad at them or not.
