Aunt Leaves Her Nephew A List Of Detailed Instructions For Babysitting Her Dog

When we get a dog, we get them with the knowledge that we will be responsible for them for the rest of their lives. For most of us, that responsibility of parenthood means spending plenty of time with them, giving them the best care possible, and spoiling them rotten. While most of us would love nothing more than to be attached at the hip with our dogs, sometimes we have to leave them at home while we go out of town – either for work or a much-needed vacation.

Whenever we do, we always make sure that our pups receive the best care. Some of us might send them to a nice boarding kennel or pet hotel, but the majority of us find it’s easier to get a trusted friend or family member to come and housesit for the duration of our absence. It just makes sense. Our dogs can enjoy human companionship from the comfort of their home without the stress of having to go to a facility – our leaving them behind is stress enough for them.

And anyone who’s had someone come look after their pets knows the routine you go through: you leave them a big long list of instructions. Our dogs all have their individual schedules as well as different dietary requirements, meaning that each item has to be meticulously written out for the dog sitter. After all, you want your pup to be as comfortable as possible while you’re gone.

One woman left her nephew, Tommy, in charge of her dog’s care while she was out of town. She left him a long list of detailed instructions. Tommy couldn’t help but post them to his Twitter.

It’s definitely something all dog parents can relate to. What do you think? How many of you have left similar notes for your dog sitters?
