Laekenois (pronounced “Lak-in-wah”) were originally bred to herd sheep at the Royal Castle of Laeken, the official residence of the King of the Belgians. They exhibit natural herding tendencies and enjoy competing in dog agility trials, flyball, tracking, and herding activities.
