Also known as the American Dingo, the Carolina Dog is thought to be a direct descendent of ancient pariah dogs that migrated across the Bering Strait 8,000 years ago. While the breed has been domesticated, there are still wild versions that remain in existence. The Carolina Dog is known for its fishhook tail, which never hangs slack and is carried in various positions based upon its current mood.
