The Chinook originated in New England in the early 20th century and is the official dog of the state of New Hampshire. They are hard working dogs known for their sled dog capabilities. Chinooks also excel at carting, flyball, search and rescue, and packing. They are bred to work in teams and are calm, non-aggressive, and kind with children and strangers.
