Dog Enthusiastically Watches Himself Win Agility Competition On TV

We all have accomplishments we’re proud of. In 2017, Kirk the Border Collie won the Small Dog Agility competition at the 2017 Incredible Dog Challenge Western Regionals, which were hosted by Purina Pro Plan.

But more adorable than the video of his victory, was the video of him watching back his performance – as though he was reliving the victory! Everyone has things to be proud of, and Kirk was no different, especially given the fact that he was number one in the 2017 Small Dog Agility competition – not a lot of dogs can brag about that.

Border Collies, besides being incredibly intelligent and easily trainable, are best known for their farm work where they’re often herders, herding all kinds of animals such as sheep, pigs, or cows. The breed originated in the northern part of the British Isles, between the Anglo-Scottish border. While Border Collies are pretty athletic and often are the stars of whatever competitions they partake in, it’s still a big deal to win. So, Kirk definitely has some major bragging rights with his performance.

In the adorable video, you can see Kirk excitedly jump up and down as he watched himself nail the competition. It really was as though he was going through the motions of his victory again, savoring the win for a second time. There is no doubt he’ll be winning plenty of other competitions in the future.
