A young couple with an aggressive stray dog named Ara had reached out to Cesar Milan in hopes that he could help them find answers. Rrayyme, the dog’s owner, and her boyfriend, Nathan, had tried everything they could to get the dog from biting him. Nothing seemed to work, even the things that Nathan had learned while working at a dog rescue center in Los Angeles. Like many couples with an overly protective dog, Ara’s behavior was starting to take its toll on their relationship.

Ara is the “perfect dog” when she is alone with her owner, but when Nathan enters the picture, she goes into fight or flight mode and doesn’t want to cooperate at all. The biggest issues seem to arise when Nathan tries to put her on a leash.

Things have gotten so bad that Nathan hasn’t touched Ara in 5 months! But not to worry, cause Cesar knows just how to work with dogs like Ara.

First, he approaches Ara in her kennel and introduces himself. The dog immediately nips back at him, but Cesar keeps his cool to help build trust. The key here is to slow the process down as he puts on her leash.

After successfully getting Ara out of her kennel, he then invites his llama to go on a walk with them. The goal here is to develop a deeper connection with the dog.

Cesar then works with the couple one-on-one to help them get a better understanding as to why Ara is reacting the way she is and how to handle her.

Will Cesar be able to help this young couple? Check out the video below to find out how to get your dog from biting people:
