Loyal Dog Refuses To Leave Hospital Where His Owner Died Months Ago

There is no companion who is more loyal than a dog. If anyone were to ever doubt the loyalty of a canine, we could show them over a hundred examples of dogs’ undying loyalty to their owners.

And one dog in Brazil is adding to the narrative of loyal dogs since he’s been waiting outside the hospital where his owner passed away for four months.

According to local media reports, the nameless dog in Brazil has kept his vigil outside the front of the Santa Casa de Novo Horizonte hospital.

The tragedy began to unfold when the dog’s owner arrived at the hospital after being stabbed. The 59-year-old man was homeless and had gotten into a street fight. His ever-loyal dog chased the ambulance all the way to the airport.

Unfortunately, his owner never came out as he later succumbed to his injuries.

Ever since, his loyal companion has kept a vigil according to Brazil’s newspaper, O Globo.

The staff at the hospital have been regularly feeding the dog and giving him water. They had to dog taken to an animal shelter 2 miles away, but eventually, the dog found his way back – continuously escaping from the kennels.

While his future remains uncertain, we can’t help but hope that this loyal dog will one day be given a warm and loving forever home.
