Since the early 1960s, Southern California has been known as a hotspot for skateboarding. There have been many skateboarding legends born out of this place, and one of the newest ones is a bit of an underdog so to speak.
Meet Rowdy, the 16-month-old miniature dachshund who’s been making quite the impression with her skateboard on the streets of LA. This adorable skater girl even has her own Instagram, where she shows off her skills through lots of videos and pictures.
She currently has more than 30,000 followers, proving that she’s not just the cutest girl at the skatepark, but on social media too.
Rowdy has apparently been a sporty girl ever since she was a puppy. She had even been a running competitor since she was only 4 months old.
“I love to run fast and compete,” her Instagram profile says. “I’ve won three 1st place championships, 2nd place, and a 3rd place finish in my journey for the title of fastest dachshund in Southern California.”
When Rowdy’s not competing, she’s spending a lot of her free time on four wheels. Rowdy can often be found throughout the streets and skateparks of LA rolling on her skateboard.
As her profile on Instagram states, “It’s so much fun to ride my skateboard. So much so that I rarely play with my dog toys, because I’d rather be outside skateboarding.”
Her adorable videos showcase how fearlessly she takes on ramps, curbs, and even stairs. No matter what the challenge might be, Rowdy always seems un-phased. Like a typical California girl, Rowdy seems to happiest when the wind’s in her hair and the sun’s shining down.
