Pregnant Dog Poses For Her ‘Paw-ternity’ Photo Shoot

Moms-to-be usually document their pregnancies with maternity photo shoots. It’s a way to feel glamorous with a big belly, plus taking pictures is lots of fun! And pet owners are certainly not about to leave their pregnant pets out of the maternity fun.

One photographer in Brazil, Ana Paula Grillo, regularly does photos of family portraits. However, she was asked by her friend to do a maternity shoot for her expectant dog, Lilica.

The resulting photos were absolutely precious.

Pregnant Lilica was “glowing” as she posed for the camera. It was clear that this mama-to-be was enjoying her time in front of the camera.

Even though the photo shoot only lasted a few minutes, Lilica gave some great poses and the pictures came out fabulous.

And it turns out that the maternity shoot came just in time – the very next day, Lilica went into labor.

She gave birth to 5 healthy baby pups. All five of them stayed with Lilica and became members of the family.

Grillo may be a photographer, but she often spends her spare time volunteering with the animals at a local rescue. So, we have no doubt that perhaps she’ll be doing more doggie maternity shoots in the future.

Check out more pictures of Lilica’s shoot below:
