Rescue Dog Is Thrilled To Get His First Toy

It doesn’t take a lot to make dogs happy. That is one of their best qualities. One video showed the moment that a precious little puppy named Buddy was welcomed into his forever home. The little pup was also given a new toy. His reaction to this gesture of kindness was so adorable that the video will definitely make you smile.

Buddy is from Belize. He’s a mixed dog who has a little chihuahua, terrier, and dachshund in him – just to name a few possibilities. Buddy is what Belize calls “potcakes,” a nickname for stray dogs. The name has its origins of an old tradition of leaving food-crusted spots outside in order for them to be licked clean by the hungry stray dogs roaming the streets at night.  While most little potcakes just roam around Belize without a home, Buddy got lucky.

He was taken in by Nito who lives on San Pedro Island. As a result, Buddy is now living his best life hanging out with the staff of the scuba diving establishment, Chuck & Robbie’s Dive Shop. Nito had presented Buddy with a stuffed toy, a plush bull named Rex. The little pup is immediately delighted with his new toy – and the best part is he’ll be able to bring his toy to work with him!
