With pet travel at an all-time high, now is the time to ensure proper safety procedures for traveling with your dog in the car! In collaboration with pet safety experts Bark Buckle UP, Cesar and Junior teamed up for the “Be Smart Ride Safe” PSA, which addresses safe car travel for pets.

(Los Angeles) - Dog-toting celebs, including Bill Maher and Kaley Cuoco, walked the “grass” carpet at the Pacific Design Center for the Amanda Foundation’s “Pattern for Paws” fashion show event on July 15, 2010. Those in attendance were treated to a dog fashion show and a special performance by cast members of the FOX television hit “Glee.”

Cesar was honored with the first annual Cesar Millan Award, which will be awarded to various humanitarians in the future.

The Millan Foundation is happy to announce the recipients of the 2010 Millan Foundation Grant. With more than 70 submitted grant proposals from rescue organizations around the world, the Foundation narrowed down the entries to six exceptional organizations. Each group will utilize the funds for the expansion and/or continuation of programs that aid in the rescuing, rehabilitation, and re-homing of abused and abandoned dogs.

Cesar Millan and The Millan Foundation launched a new public service campaign on July 9, 2010, aimed at raising awareness in the Spanish-speaking community of the importance of spaying and neutering pets and its direct impact on canine overpopulation. The Angel of Hospice

A casual observer might have mistaken him for a stuffed animal, lying in bed with his patients at San Diego Hospice. Baxter the Golden Chow – part Golden Retriever, part Chow – was said to have looked like a big teddy bear.

The Millan Foundation would like to congratulate our friends Kim Sill of Last Chance for Animals and Melanie Pozez of the Bark Avenue Foundation for their continued efforts to help find homes for shelter dogs.

The campaign is the long-awaited result of the partnership between the Millan Foundation and Lopez Negrete Communications, Inc. It features television, radio, and print ads, and a community relations effort by Cesar himself which will seek to bring his spay and neuter message to Spanish-speaking dog owners. The campaign is focused on raising awareness of the consequences of pet overpopulation, which includes leaving over 4.5 million dogs and cats to die in local animal shelters each year due to a lack of space.

(New Haven, CT) – On Tuesday July 20, 2010, at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale University, Cesar Millan addressed the crowd at the Yale School of the 21st Century’s 2010 National Conference about the Mutt-i-grees™ educational program.
