I just wanted to let you know of a great experience I had because of your show. Recently I had to start giving my dog Riley fluids twice a week. I was really stressed about it, because I knew it was painful for her and I am not used to giving anyone a shot.

It got to be a real fight, and she tried to nip/bite me on a regular basis. Basically it was getting worse with each injection, just really tense and stressful!

Luckily for me, there was a re-run of your show that aired about these people who had to give their dog medicine. In it, I learned that I had to be peaceful, that I couldn't try to calm her with affection when she was fighting me, and that I should give her a massage while the fluids were going in.

I incorporated all of those things for the last few injections, and I have to tell you this. Yesterday, I got out the IV bag as I always do and instead of running the other direction she walked right over to me and laid down to get her injection. I wanted to cry I was so happy. She also makes her happy deep breathing noises while she is getting her fluids. Wow. Thank you so much.
