My dog used to hate bath time. She wasn’t as bad as some dogs who run away and hide, but she definitely required a lot of coaxing – and a lot of treats – to get her into the tub. From there she just looked so miserable standing still as we bathed her. She definitely had the guilt-trip face perfected.
Most dog owners have experience with dogs who hate baths. However, there are those lucky dog owners out there who love it. They have no objections to being bathed and actually look forward to it. Basil the Great Dane is one of those pups who loves a bath. Apparently it’s a Sunday ritual.
While recorded in a video, Basil’s owner calls out the dog’s name. Instantaneously Basil appears, knowing what to expect. The Great Dane demonstrates that he’s such a good boy and goes upstairs to the bathroom. Once Basil has gotten into the tub, he patiently waits for his owner to get ready to bath him.
Basil lets his owner scrub him down and does not complain at all about having a bath. It’s clear that Basil just wants to make his owner happy. I’m sure we all wish our dogs could be this calm and collected when it comes to taking a bath.
