The Thai Ridgeback, also known as “Mah Thai Lang Ahn,” is one of only three dog breeds that have a ridge of hairs that run along their back opposite the direction of their coat (other two are Rhodesian Ridgeback and Phu Quoc Ridgeback). The breed originates from Thailand and is known for being a good watch, guard, and hunting dog, as well as family companion. Until recently Thai Ridgebacks were virtually unknown outside of Thailand but have since been gaining notice in the Western world.
