Toddler Comforts Golden Retriever During A Thunderstorm

Friendships between kids and dogs are the most wholesome and precious relationships to ever exist. They’re always so full of love and compassion, and the video footage of a toddler comforting his dog during a thunderstorm is no exception.

During a thunderstorm, the golden retriever was scared and unable to cope with all the bizarre sounds associated with the violent weather. Terrified, the dog went to find somewhere safe – and that happened to be the family’s laundry.

While he was hidden away, the little toddler soon noticed that something wasn’t right and went to go look for the pup. That is when the little kid found the terrified dog in the laundry room and decided to do something to comfort him.

The child offers the pup some much-needed love and attention through an endless stream of hugs and kisses. The beautiful little display of kindness and caring definitely seemed to work as the dog seemed to be able to calm a little bit.

The clip was posted to Twitter, where it quickly went viral.

Plenty of comments lauded the child’s kindness:

While other comments pointed out how deep of a bond these two must share:

And still, there was one comment that really hit home, saying that it’s just what we all need right now:

And we could not agree more – this definitely will put a smile on anyone’s face.
